NICOLAI X KRYPT HALLOWEEN BASH // Vol. 20 / BARCODE / EARN YOUR SCARS / SOCIAL DECLINE—————————————————————————————————————————————————BARCODE
One of Europe’s strongest representatives of hardcore in the ’90s and ’00s is stepping back into the ring, ready to throw some serious punches in a long-awaited comeback.
Three of the driving forces behind Barcode’s glory days have joined forces with a legendary punk drummer. The result? An updated version of the Aarhus-based outfit that is heavier, sharper, and more ferocious than ever before.
Barcode’s legendary status is built on hundreds of shows across Europe, where they have shared the stage with prominent names such as Madball, Pro-Pain, Agnostic Front, Hatebreed, Skarhead, and Murphy’s Law, to name just a few of the heavy hitters.
Add to that five full-length albums, one of which was released on the world’s biggest heavy metal label, Nuclear Blast, along with appearances on countless tribute and compilation albums, and Barcode’s influential position on the hardcore scene becomes undeniable.
Now, almost two decades after their last show, it’s finally happening. Several attempts have been made to reunite the band over the years, but this time, it’s for real.
One hundred percent.
To make a long story short: BARCODE IS BACK.
