About this Event
THIRD NIGHT ADDED DUE TO DEMAND!
Following a sold-out national run last year, Niall Breslin returns with a renewed series of performances across Ireland , including his first Belfast date, in the intimate, unique and stunning Harrison Chambers, on TUESDAY 20th October: an evening of storytelling, spoken word and contemporary classical. The date follows the release of Breslin's latest album, The Place That Has Never Been Wounded, and his No.1 best-selling book of the same name, and continues a presentation that has emerged as one of the most distinctive offerings in the contemporary Irish music landscape.
Alongside larger stages added to the 2026 run, where Breslin is joined by The Polaris Quartet, with music, spoken word and real-time visual design woven together at Vicar Street, University of Limerick, Mullingar Cathedral, Theatre Royal, and Wexford Opera House, the Belfast show brings that same body of work into one of the city's most striking and atmospheric settings, built for a closer, more intimate encounter with the material.
Rather than functioning as accompaniment, spoken word and composition shape the pacing and emotional contours of the performance, drawing the audience into a shared, concentrated space.
Audiences are asked to step away from external noise and into an environment designed for presence and release.
The Place That Has Never Been Wounded was named one of the Best Irish Albums of the Year by The Irish Times, praising the record's ability to create a lingering serenity that quietly shuts out the noise. Adam Clayton called the work "a deeply spiritual and affirming body of work" that "releases something in you that you didn't even know you were holding onto."
Breslin said this show "is a tribute to the part of us that holds steady when the world shakes. It's a privilege to be in the room with people when they recognise that part of themselves again."
This Belfast date offers a rare chance to experience Breslin's work in its most stripped-back, intimate form.
