Edad 6 at 7, Ngiping Malinis at Matatag!
Mark your calendars! The Iloilo Doctors' College - College of Dentistry (DDM 5D Group 3) is thrilled to launch Ngiting 6-7, an oral health outreach program dedicated to our young learners!
 Location: Taal Elementary School
 Dates: November 5-6, 2026
Beneficiaries: Grade 1 Students (Ages 6-7)
Why Ages 6 to 7?
This is a critical milestone in a child's oral health! It’s when the "6-year molars" (First Permanent Molars) erupt. Because they come in behind the baby teeth, they are often mistaken for baby teeth and neglected. We are here to protect them early!
Our Approach to Healthy Smiles:
To ensure lifelong healthy habits, we are combining education with hands-on preventive care:
Interactive Learning: Fun lectures, giant tooth models, and toothbrushing demos to teach proper hygiene and healthy eating.
Baseline Screening: Complete dental charting and Oral Hygiene Index (OHI-S) scoring to assess every child's needs.
Clinical Care: Free professional oral prophylaxis (cleaning), polishing, and topical fluoride application to strengthen their vulnerable mixed dentition.
Take-Home Kits: Every participant gets an Oral Hygiene Kit (toothbrush, pediatric toothpaste, and flyers) to practice their new habits at home!
Referrals: We will provide referral notices to parents for kids needing further dental treatment.
A huge thank you to Taal Elementary School for partnering with us! We cannot wait to share smiles, knowledge, and free dental care with the kids. See you on November 5-6!
