If your child loves movies, animation, comics, photography, acting, writing, or creating content, this is where imagination becomes reality.
NextGen Creative Youth Summer Camp is a five-day immersive creative studio where youth ages 8–16 work alongside professional filmmakers, actors, screenwriters, producers, entrepreneurs, and AI creators to produce original multimedia projects they'll proudly share with family and friends.

It will premiere on the big screen during the 25th Urban Mediamakers Film Festival this October.
This Year's Featured Studio Project
CHROMAVERSE
Campers won't simply learn about animation—they'll become part of the creative team behind Chromaverse, an original multimedia universe created by youth.
Working together as a production studio, campers will help:
• Complete the first Chromaverse comic strip
• Finish scenes from the Chromaverse animated short
• Record voice performances
• Write dialogue
• Create visual artwork
• Use AI responsibly to enhance creativity
Each camper will also create their own original creative project to showcase their unique imagination.
Learn From Creative Professionals
Throughout the week campers will learn directly from industry professionals including:
- Ronald Ellerbee — Artificial Intelligence (AI) developer and entrepreneu
- Sylvia Jackson — Producer, cinematography, and creative business
- Joyce Licorish — Acting, voice performance, storytelling, multimedia production and character development
- Cheryle Renee Moses — Producer, AI, marketing, creative director, entrepreneurship, storytelling and multimedia production (Camp Director)
- Nubia Rahim — Camera operation, lighting, multimedia prodduction, and cinematic storytelling
- Redelia Shaw — Producing and directing

NextGen Creative Youth Summer Camp is built on respect, creativity, and collaboration.
Campers are expected to treat fellow students, instructors, staff, facilities, and equipment with respect at all times. Parents will be contacted if behavior concerns arise. Youth whose behavior repeatedly disrupts the learning environment or compromises the safety and experience of others may be dismissed from camp without a refund.
