About this Event
Interested in working in sports but not sure what that first step actually looks like?
Join Bluejay Sports Network and Hurrdat Sports for Next Up: Sports Industry Networking Night on October 20 at Hurrdat Sports Bar & Grill in La Vista. Designed specifically for high school and college students who are beginning to explore careers in sports, this event connects students with young professionals who are in the early stages of building their own careers. Students will have the chance to talk with people who recently made the transition from school into the sports industry and can offer practical, relatable insight into internships, first jobs, career paths and what it takes to get started.
Rather than a formal panel or presentation, the night is built around open conversation and meaningful connections. Students can ask questions, hear how different professionals got their start and learn more about the wide range of careers available across the sports industry.
Professionals from multiple organizations and career paths throughout the Omaha sports community will be represented, giving students exposure to opportunities beyond the roles they may already know about. Whether you already have a career path in mind or are just starting to figure out where you might fit, Next Up is designed to make the sports industry feel more accessible, approachable and easier to navigate.
The goal isn’t just to collect contacts. It’s to build relationships with people who can provide useful perspective as you begin your own path into sports.
Next Up: Sports Industry Networking Night is presented by Bluejay Sports Network in collaboration with Hurrdat Sports.
