About this Event
This session is a follow up session from 'Ditch the Stabiliser', it is designed for children who have managed to cycle independently on two wheels (without being held). It is a fun session which is perfect for beginners looking to improve their bike handling skills (starting, stopping, gears, manouvering etc). The session will be led by an experienced cycling coach and volunteers.
Bikes and helmets are available to borrow or you can bring your own. All riders must wear a helmet to take part in the sessions.
Please ensure that children are wearing suitable shoes and clothing for cycling and the weather conditions. The sessions will continue in wet weather and will only be cancelled if a weather warning is in place (e.g storm), all participants will be contacted in advance if this is the case.
Sessions will take place on the main cycle track.
These sessions ARE NOT for children on stablisers or those who have not yet learned to cycle independently yet. We offer 'Ditch the Stabilisera' learn to ride sessions seperately, please take a look at Swindon Cycle Campaign's Eventbrite page for learn to ride sessions.
