Darn Hot Swing Dance Collective are delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity for Melbourne's Balboa community!Are you ready to level up your Balboa? If you've been regularly social dancing bal for 6+ months and/or you are comfortable with all fundamentals (including a solid throw-out) and consider yourself a fast learner, then we have something exciting for you!
Tara Coyne and Tim Coyne are 2 of Melbourne's most recognisable Balboa dancers; known for their connection, unique styling, and creativity on the floor.
On Saturday 7th November they are offering a special Double Header workshop! This will consist of 2 x 1 hour 15 minute sessions with a half hour break in between. Part classic class and part guided workshop, Tim and Tara will help you tap in to your personal style.
Session 1: 10-11.15am. Explore the technique behind some of the classic shapes and find a new level of flow and smoothness in your dance.
Session 2: 11.45-1pm. Add more styling options and explore musicality and creativity, using ideas from yourself and your dance partner.
We hope that attendees will bring what they've learned in the workshops directly to the social floor at Open Air Shuffle, starting at 3pm on the same day!
These workshops have been designed to complement and build on each other. One ticket gives you access to both workshops.
Tickets are $35+bf ($25+bf for student and concession card holders)
Tickets may be available on the door for $40 if not sold out prior.
