Extra! Extra! Newsies is a high-energy, coming-of-age musical about a ragtag group of teenage newspaper sellers (newsies) who go on a strike in 1899. When greedy publishing titans, Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst, raise newspaper prices at the kids’ expense, charismatic Jack Kelly realizes the only way to get the industry to respect them is to fight back. They convince newsies from all over the city to form a union and strike against unfair conditions. Fun for everyone!
