Join us on a voyage of discovery, celebrating Newport's Nautical heroes and heroines with Antarctic stowaways, heroic rescuers, Hollywood liberties, pioneering women and even rogue torpedoes - uncover their stories!
In the company of local historian and author Andrew Hemmings, you’ll join the Newport Transporter Team on our popular journey exploring Newport around the Bridge, uncovering the fascinating tales of 13 key people and intriguing incidents...
Following in the footsteps of a century of countless sailors, we’ll be commencing our voyage of discovery from the Docks at the brand new Newport Transporter Bridge Visitor Centre, where you will get an exclusive peak preview before venturing out on this 5 mile circular walk, visiting six locations.
There will also be an opportunity to purchase copies of Andrew's book: 'Secret Newport' - an ideal gift.
