**Sylwch fod y digwyddiadau hyn yn weithdai strwythuredig. Bydd cyflwyniadau byr ar y Cynllun Adneuo a'r broses yn ogystal â'r cyfle i weld cynigion yn yr ymgynghoriad. Mae yna opsiwn i alw heibio a gwneud sylwadau yn anffurfiol. Bydd y digwyddiad yn gorffen gydag esboniad o’r dulliau sydd ar gael i gyflwyno unrhyw sylwadau i’r Cyngor.
Ni fydd pob digwyddiad yn gyfyngedig i faterion sy'n berthnasol i ardal y lleoliadau arfaethedig. Bydd yr holl ddigwyddiadau a drefnwyd yn ceisio cwmpasu'r hyn sydd wedi'i gynllunio ar gyfer Casnewydd gyfan. Mae croeso i bawb fynychu unrhyw un o'r digwyddiadau a drefnwyd fel sy’n gweddu orau iddyn nhw.
Bydd Cymorth Cynllunio Cymru (PAW) yn trafod pob agwedd ar ymgynghoriad y Cynllun Adneuo a bydd yn nodi unrhyw sylwadau a wneir gan gyfranogwyr. Fodd bynnag, nid yw hyn yn disodli'r angen i unigolion neu sefydliadau ymateb i ymgynghoriad y Cyngor yn flaenorol. Yn olaf, nodwch na fydd Swyddogion y Cyngor yn mynychu'r digwyddiadau hyn. Pwrpas y digwyddiadau hyn yw i PAW, fel hwylusydd annibynnol, esbonio'r Cynllun Adneuo, annog eich ystyriaeth o'r cynigion a chynghori sut y gallwch chi gymryd rhan yn yr ymgynghoriad. Ni fydd PAW yn llunio barn ar y polisïau neu'r cynigion drafft yn y digwyddiadau hyn.
Dweud eich dweud am ddyfodol Casnewydd!
Bydd y Cyngor yn ymgynghori ar eu Cynllun Adneuo o 26 Hydref 2026 gan ddod i ben ar 21 Rhagfyr 2026.
Mae’r Cynllun Adneuo yn cynnwys:
- Y materion allweddol, yr heriau a'r cyfleoedd ar gyfer ardal y Cyngor.
- Y Weledigaeth, Amcanion a'r Strategaeth a Ffefrir sy'n ymateb i'r prif faterion, heriau a chyfleoedd.
- Maint twf yn y dyfodol mewn poblogaeth, tai a swyddi a'r dosbarthiad gofodol eang ar gyfer y twf. Yn cynnwys 4 safle datblygu allweddol: Ardal Twf y Dwyrain (Llanwern), Ardal Twf Betws, ac Ardal Twf Langstone (Gogledd a De Langstone). Mae'r rhain yn cynnwys seilwaith a darpariaethau Creu Lleoedd.

- Polisïau Strategol gan gynnwys Newid yn yr Hinsawdd, Creu Lleoedd Cynaliadwy, Perygl Llifogydd, Seilwaith Gwyrdd, Trafnidiaeth Gynaliadwy, Trafnidiaeth, Iechyd a Lles, Hierarchaeth y Ganolfannau, Tai Fforddiadwy, Seilwaith, Lletemau Gwyrdd, Ardaloedd Tirwedd Arbennig, Treftadaeth, Ynni Adnewyddadwy, Gwastraff, Mwynau

Mae Cyngor Dinas Casnewydd wedi comisiynu Cymorth Cynllunio Cymru i gydlynu gweithdai ymgysylltu â'r gymuned mewn perthynas â'u Cynllun Datblygu Lleol Newydd (RLDP): Cynllun Adneuo. Y cyfnod ymgynghori yw dydd Llun 26 Hydref 2026 – dydd Llun 21 Rhagfyr 2026.

**Please note these events are structured workshops, there will be short presentations on the deposit plan and process but also the opportunity to view proposals in the consultation and, therefore, there is the option to drop in to comment informally. The event will conclude with an explanation of the methods available to submit any representations to the Council.
Furthermore, the events are not solely targeted to discuss the area of the venue but will be looking at the City Council area as a whole and you are welcome to attend any of these events.
Whilst the event will discuss all aspects of the Deposit Plan Consultation and we will note the comments of participants, this does not replace the need for individuals or organisations to reply, formerly, to the consultation. Finally, please note Council Officers will not attend these events and the purpose is for Planning Aid Wales, as an independent facilitator to explain the Deposit Plan, encourage your consideration of the proposals and advise how you can participate in the consultation. PAW will not be making judgements on the draft policies or proposals at these events.
Have your say on the future of Newport!
Newport City Council is working on a Replacement Local Development Plan for the Council area. This plan will ensure the Borough can grow sustainably up to 2036.
The Council will be issuing their Deposit Plan Consultation for consultation on 26 October 2026.
The Deposit Plan contains:
- The key issues, challenges and opportunities for the Council area.
- The Vision, Objectives and Preferred Strategy that respond to the key issues, challenges and opportunities;
- The scale of future growth in population, housing and jobs and the broad spatial distribution for the growth; 10,911 homes to deliver a housing requirement of 9,919; and 79ha of employment land to meet an employment land requirement of 77ha and minimum of 13,875 new jobs. Including 4 key development sites: Eastern Growth Area (Llanwern), Bettws Growth Area, and Langstone Growth Area (North and South Langstone). These include infrastructure and Placemaking provisions.
- Delivery Strategy
- Strategic Policies including: Climate Change, Sustainable Placemaking, Flood Risk, Green Infrastructure, Sustainable Transport, Transport, Health and Wellbeing, Centre Hierarchy, Affordable Housing, Infrastructure, Green Wedges, Special Landscape Areas, Heritage, Renewable Energy, Waste, Minerals,
·Detailed policies that will be applied to all new development proposals, including: Economy and Employment, Population (inc. Housing), Community Infrastructure, Health Wellbeing and Inclusion, Transport and Movement, Natural Environment and Resources, Historic Environment, Climate Change
Planning Aid Wales has been commissioned by Newport City Council Council to coordinate community engagement workshops in relation to their Replacement LDP Deposit Plan, the consultation period is Monday 26 October 2026 – Wednesday 21 December 2026.
