About this Event
An extraordinary chapter in vocal jazz history comes to Sacramento City College.
For nearly four decades, New York Voices has helped define the sound, artistry, and possibilities of contemporary vocal jazz. Renowned for their breathtaking harmonies, exceptional musicianship, and unparalleled ensemble artistry, the group has captivated audiences in the world's great concert halls and jazz festivals, collaborating with some of the most celebrated artists and ensembles of our time.
Now, as New York Voices prepares to bring this remarkable musical journey to a close, Sacramento City College proudly welcomes the legendary ensemble for The Grand Finale, a rare and unforgettable Sacramento appearance on their farewell tour.
But this historic visit represents far more than a single evening of extraordinary music.
Throughout the day, members of New York Voices will share their artistry and expertise with Sacramento City College students through a special educational residency focused on vocal jazz, musicianship, and cultivating the next generation of artists. This exceptional opportunity reflects the college's enduring commitment to connecting students with the world's finest musicians and creating transformative experiences through music education.
As evening falls, the doors of the Sacramento City College Performing Arts Center will open to our college and the greater Sacramento community for a celebration of musical excellence, artistic legacy, and the enduring power of the human voice.
This is more than a concert. It is an opportunity to witness a defining ensemble in vocal jazz history as they celebrate the culmination of an extraordinary musical journey.
One remarkable ensemble.
One final chapter.
One extraordinary night in Sacramento.
