Step into New York City for a Holiday Cocktail Class Inspired by the drinking traditions of the Big Apple.
Celebrate the season with a spirited journey through New York's holiday traditions. Our final immersive cocktail class of the year invites guests to their bartending station for an experience filled with making, sipping, and learning!
The class opens with a traditional flaming holiday punch, ignited before your eyes by Erin and Renée (look away, Simon)—an unforgettable nod to festive gatherings in 1840s NY homes. Guests will sip and savor while learning the history of these festive drinks and how communal punches were a feature of New York holiday revelry.
Hogwash Whiskey Den's master mixologists, Erin and Simon, will guide you through the art of making two additional cocktails inspired by the cocktail history of the city. Your mixology lessons will be complete with a primer on essential bartending tools and techniques. Raising the Bar's resident historian, Renée, will share the stories behind the drinks and the eras they represent while we sip and learn.
This is the final class in our It’s Five O'Clock Somewhere series, a global cocktail journey into the flavors, traditions, and stories behind the spirits of American cocktail culture. Many of these spirited journeys landed in New York, where America’s Golden Age of the Cocktail took hold — a fitting end for this series.
