A Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Blues Album and the Blues Foundation's B.B. King Entertainer of the Year award set the bar for this one. Sugaray Rayford pairs vintage soul with deep blues in a voice forged in a Texas church, and he has taken home Blues Music Awards for Soul Blues Male Artist in 2019 and 2020, plus Soul Blues Album of the Year for In Too Deep.
His latest album, Human Decency, was produced by Eric Corne and cut with players from the bands of Mavis Staples, Bruce Springsteen and B.B. King. He brings that church fire to Mason Street to ring in 2027. New Year's Eve seats go fast, so grab yours now.
