Led by local ornithologist Michael Turner, this guided walk is perfect for both beginners and experienced birdwatchers. Michael will share tips on bird identification and help you spot the rich birdlife that remains active even in the depths of winter. It’s a fantastic way to connect with nature and welcome in the New Year.
Before setting off, pick up a warming takeaway drink from our café, or reward yourself afterwards with a delicious New Year’s breakfast or brunch and a hot drink while chatting about the birds and wildlife you encountered along the way.

The walk will be on regular pathways with some slight gradients. Please bring binoculars if you have them and dress appropriately with stout footwear, waterproofs may be necessary depending on the weather. No dogs please.
