About this Event

Classical music is a global conversation!


In our 2026–27 season, New World, New Voice, we revel in the fusion of European craftsmanship and American spirit. From the legendary masters of the Old World to the infectious, modern pulse of the New, join us for a season of chamber music that is anything but traditional.

It is a journey through the classics you love, iconic works of American chamber music. to the bold, fresh voices of today.

We're increasing access to world-class music! Kids (17 and younger) and students can attend all CMSCVA concerts for free. Kids and students must register to redeem their free ticket.

Your Season Pass includes the following 8 concerts. Our season also includes free events that do not require tickets.




American in Paris

September 14, 7pm
First Unitarian Universalist Church

Ravel’s Violin Sonata, Milhaud’s “La Creation du Monde.” and Zachary Wadsworth’s new arrangement of Gershwin’s beloved “An American in Paris.”




The Gilded Age

October 18, 4pm
St Mary’s Episcopal Church

Dvořák’s Viola Quintet, chamber music by Amy Beach, and the sensational rags by Scott Joplin that took Gilded Age America by storm.



Beethoven by Candlelight

November 22, 4pm

2nd Presbyterian Church

Candlelit chamber music by the iconic composer, and a set of pieces inspired by Moonlight.



A Musical Offering

December 14, 7pm

Church of the Holy Comforter

Bach’s ingenious Musical Offering and Telemann’s Paris Quartets, plus a new offering by Niccolo Seligmann.




Hollywood!

February 7, 7pm

First Unitarian Universalist Church

Stunning chamber music by film composers like Korngold and Glass, plus Buster Keaton’s silent movie masterpiece “Sherlock Jr.”


European Road Trip

February 27, 3pm

St. Mary's Episcopal Church

Join acclaimed harpsichordist Carsten Schmidt for "European Road Trip," a curated musical journey through the continent’s most influential cultural hubs.
