About this Event
What happens in your body when something you actually want becomes possible?
Excitement may arrive first.
Then perhaps your stomach tightens. Your thoughts speed up. You start calculating what could go wrong.
Am I ready?
What if I make the wrong choice?
What if I don't know enough yet?
And suddenly, activation becomes:
“Maybe I shouldn't do it.”
But what if activation doesn't always mean no?
Your Nervous System Doesn't Only Respond to Danger
Your nervous system is continually taking in information and preparing you to respond. Novelty, uncertainty, increased demand, and something that matters deeply can all produce activation.
A racing heart doesn't automatically mean don't go.
Butterflies don't automatically mean go.
A protective response is information, but it doesn't have to make the decision for you.
This New Moon evening is an opportunity to experience that distinction in your own Human Instrument.
What Are You Ready To Move Toward?
The December New Moon in Sagittarius symbolically turns our attention toward possibility, direction, meaning, and what might exist beyond where we are now.
But Mars in Virgo adds tension between the larger vision and everything we think must be organized, perfected, or figured out before we begin.
And Venus and Pluto bring the inquiry deeper.
What do you genuinely desire when you move beneath expectations, approval, attachment, and what you think you're supposed to want?
This isn't about making New Moon resolutions or convincing yourself to “think positive.”
It's an invitation to notice:
What do I want?
What happens in my body when I imagine moving toward it?
What am I interpreting that activation to mean?
What is actually available to me now?
You don't need the entire map.
You need a next note.
Experience The Human Instrument
We'll begin with an interactive introduction to The Human Instrument, exploring your body as an instrument that receives, responds to, and creates vibration.
Using your own voice, we'll move through a simple tuning sequence with the musical scale and traditional bija, or seed sounds, associated with the primary energy centers.
You'll experience vibration from the inside rather than simply listening to sound around you.
Then we'll bring that experience into Return To Witness®:
Activation → Awareness → Agency → Action
Instead of immediately asking, “How do I make this feeling go away?” we'll practice something different:
Notice it.
Where do you feel activation?
What happens to your breathing?
Where do you tighten or soften?
What impulse appears?
What story follows?
Nothing has to stop happening in order for you to Witness it.
Then Stop Producing and Receive
After using your own voice and practicing Return To Witness®, you'll lie down, get comfortable, and become the receiver.
Crystal singing bowls, gongs, and other resonant instruments will create an immersive Tune-Up Sound Session of changing frequencies, harmonics, vibration, and silence.
Sound travels as physical pressure waves that we hear and, at certain frequencies and intensities, can also feel as vibration.
As the sound changes, you may notice your Human Instrument changing with it.
You may soften.
You may brace.
A particular sound may feel beautiful. Another may feel intense.
Thoughts may appear. Sensations may shift. Emotion may arise. You may simply become deeply relaxed.
There is no response you're supposed to have.
That's part of the practice.
Notice what is playing before deciding what it means.
You Don't Have To Have It All Figured Out
This New Moon isn't asking you to predict the future.
It's asking you to become present enough to recognize the difference between activation and direction, fear and information, desire and expectation, impulse and choice.
Maybe you aren't ready for the whole journey.
Maybe you don't need to be.
What Are You Ready To Move Toward?
Come experience your Human Instrument.
Practice Return To Witness®.
Use your own voice.
Receive the sound, and notice what becomes available.
Tone to Tune
During Tune-Up Lunar events, Tone to Tune invites you to experience the musical scale through your own voice. As crystal bowls move through the musical scale, you may hum, tone, or sing with each note while noticing your breath, vibration, attention, and what is playing in your Human Instrument. No musical experience is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to listen.
You Don't Need To Know What You Need.
Start With What You Notice.
Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to settle in. Comfortable clothing is encouraged.
Yoga mats, blankets, eye masks, and bottled water are included.
Reception with tea service and snacks afterwards.
