Experience the desert under its darkest skies during the new moon, when thousands of stars shine overhead. Join us for a peaceful nighttime hike and discover how the desert comes alive after sunset, surrounded by the quiet beauty of the landscape and an incredible canopy of stars. What to Expect:
Enjoy an easy-paced, guided hike under a sky full of stars and the Milky Way.
Experience the peaceful sights and sounds of the desert at night while learning about the plants, animals, and natural history of the area.
Hike approximately 2–3 miles roundtrip over natural desert terrain.
Keep an eye out for nocturnal wildlife that may be active along the trail, including owls, bats, scorpions, and other desert creatures.
The hike will be led by a Wilderness First Responder, providing a safe and enjoyable experience for participants of all ages.

Time: 7:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. (Start and end times are approximate and will be confirmed)
Location: Meet at the ABF store at 587 Palm Canyon Dr. #110, Borrego Springs, CA 92004 (in The Mall next to Calico’s). From there we’ll carpool/caravan to the trailhead (location to be determined).
