Meet new people and see animals, with an easy stroll on a flat, paved trail though the Salmon Creek Greenway. Birds, turtles, even otters!
About this Event

*** A huge share of our walking friends DO NOT come from Eventbrite, so the number RSVPs here is wildly unlikely to reflect the size of our group ***

***Please arrive a few minutes early. We'll be leaving on time. In case you don't make it in time to start out with us, text Josh, and we can make sure that we catch you for the second half of our walk, as we make our way back - 360-901-0905.***

Meet new people with an easy stroll on a paved trail.

Our wildlife strolls on Salmon Creek Trail allow for longer conversations, as well as chances to see all sorts of wildlife.

We'll visit Turtle Pond and continue a ways down the trail before turning around.

At the end we'll often offer an optional extension to the eagle nest and Klineline Park (to check for otters).

All fitness levels and walking speeds are welcome! In fact, we want a full mix, with slow walkers, fast walkers, and people in between!

All ages are welcome too! (Participants under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian along.)

Bring your furry family members as well! We’ve enjoyed meeting new friends’ dogs, and ur friend Erwin has brought his two special-needs kittens in a stroller. They’re adorable!

We'll be very glad to meet you! Come on your own, or bring as many friends or family members as you like!

Our group is kind, friendly, mellow, and welcoming!

You never know what animals you'll see on Salmon Creek Trail.

Over the years, we've seen:
River otters
Beavers
Muskrats
Nutrias (including babies and Albus the albino nutria)
Mink
Weasels
Turtles (so many turtles)
Frogs
Gray herons
Green herons
Great white egrets
Cormorants (on the pilings at Klineline Pond)
Belted kingfishers
Tree Swallows
Wood ducks
Nesting bald eagles (with their babies)
Osprey
Hawks
Barred owls
Merlins
Redwing blackbirds
Cedar waxwings
Humming birds
Grosbeaks
Bats
Rabbits

We'll meet at the trailhead by the softball-field restrooms. Just type "Vancouver Girls' Softball Association" or “VGSA” into Google or Apple Maps.

If you have questions or would like to get in touch for any reason, feel free to call or text me at 360-901-0905. - Josh
