Space 1
- Tabassum Malani
Through wildlife, botanicals and abstract realism, my paintings explore resilience, vulnerability and transformation. Combining oil paints, mixed media, expressive textures and fragments of engineering textbooks, I bridge my past and present, inviting viewers to embrace change, discover inner strength and celebrate the ongoing journey of becoming.
- Ajith Perera
Ajith Perera is a Canberra-based artist whose intricate, expressive drawings explore the subconscious, human psychology and inner experiences. Influenced by Surrealism, his intuitive practice combines spontaneous marks and imaginative imagery, inviting viewers to reflect on their own emotions, memories and the hidden complexities of the human mind.

Space 2
- Debra J. Marshall
Debra J. Marshall is a visual artist based on Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Country in Naarm (Melbourne). Her practice explores landscape through drawing, painting and site-responsive methods. Drawing on her background in dance, expressive lines trace bodily movement, revealing the intricate relationship between landscape, observation and place.
- Valentina Palonen
Valentina Palonen is a Finnish-Australian visual artist based in Naarm/Melbourne. Her intuitive painting practice explores colour, emotion and subconscious experiences. Through spontaneous forms and fluid techniques, she weaves together mythology, psychology and personal experience, embracing art-making as a collaboration with the subconscious self.
- Celeste Magee
Fantastic Garden is a collection of twelve colourful, stylised oil paintings inspired by an overgrown backyard in rural Hungary. Blending traditional techniques with imaginative perspectives, the series transforms nature into a fantastical world where familiar forms become extraordinary, inviting viewers to explore an alternative reality.

Project Room - Gennet Makonnen
Gennet, born in San Francisco in 1980, studied painting at Melbourne’s Victorian College of the Arts, completing BFA Honours and MFA degrees. Working primarily with oil paint and expressive brushwork, her practice explores life through transmission, combining scientific inquiry with psychological expression to invite sensitive viewer engagement.
------------
Window Room - Juliane Brandt
Adelaide-based artist Juliane Brandt explores identity, resilience and transformation through figurative sculptures made from charred wood, ceramic and metal. Her Rekindle series repurposes reclaimed materials, reflecting nature’s regenerative power and suggesting that strength emerges through adaptation, meaningful connections and the continuous evolution of our personal identities.
