Choose this evening tour to experience Washington in a completely different atmosphere. Starting at the Lincoln Memorial and ending on Constitution Avenue behind the White House, this easy 2.5-hour walk explores the National Mall after dark.
Evening is an ideal time to visit, especially during Washington’s hot and humid summers. Temperatures are cooler, crowds are generally smaller, and the illuminated monuments and memorials provide a spectacular setting for photos.
With your French-speaking guide, you’ll discover the history behind the creation of the United States and its capital while meeting some of the great figures commemorated along the Mall. You’ll also uncover Washington’s surprising connections with France, from Pierre L’Enfant, who designed the original city plan, to the Marquis de Lafayette and the Louisiana Purchase from Napoleon.
