About this Event
Have you delivered a successful counter fraud initiative, tackled an emerging fraud threat, completed an interesting investigation, carried out research in fraud, or learned lessons that others could benefit from?
The SCAN (Strengthening Counter Fraud Across the NHS in England) project is hosting a one-day event that brings together practitioners, policymakers and researchers from across the public sector and higher education.
The counter fraud landscape is changing rapidly and has never been higher on the political agenda. The Home Office 2026-2029 Fraud Strategy, the transfer of the Public Sector Fraud Authority to DWP, new investigatory powers under the Public Authorities (Fraud, Error and Recovery) Act 2025, and new sector-specific strategies are creating fresh opportunities and challenges for counter fraud professionals. We hope to discuss this, and more, at our January event.
Together we will discuss current challenges, emerging risks and innovative approaches, test new ideas against frontline experience, share learning across sectors, and build professional relationships that continue beyond the event itself.
Further information and an agenda will be confirmed in due course. Please note that the event will include lunch and will end with a drinks reception.
