We are very excited to be hosting an album release event for our favorite trombonist, Jim Pugh's newest recording! Many of you have heard him play before with Woody Herman, Chick Corea, or as the solo trombonist of Steely Dan for nearly 30 years. Here he can be heard as a soloist, joined by many of the leading musicians in the world performing great American music featuring the trombone. Some new, and some that had been once lost. Recorded in stunning DXD, and engineered by the grammy award-winning Jim Anderson and Ulrike Schwarz of Anderson Audio NY. You have definitely heard some of their work before, on recordings such as Patricia Barber's "Clique". You can read more about this release in the October issue of The Absolute Sound, the September issue of Stereophile, the Tracking Angle, and many other publications and editorials! We are excited to be hosting Jim Pugh, as well as Jim Anderson and Ulrike Schwarz of Anderson Audio NY at our release event!
We will also be playing the LP, DXD hi-res files, and the Dolby Atmos mix of Ninmer's "Night Suite" on three different systems.
Come check out this great new release, and get to meet the minds behind it! We will have some refreshments available, and copies of "New American Symphonies" available for purchase.
