Join us at our next show to party hard, sing your heart out, and dance the night away. Come see what all the fuss is about.Consisting of several locally known musicians, New Age Noise brings many years of experience onto one stage. The heart of the band is Joey Prater and her younger sister Emily Depew. Joey has been gigging on guitar and singing around the area for more than 15 years in groups such as Mixtape Mayhem, The Road Less Traveled, 2nd Nature, and other notable bands. Outside of gigging, Joey has been teaching vocal lessons for more than 6 years. Joey has played at several familiar venues such as the Illinois State Fair, Devon Lakeshore Amphitheater, sharing stages with huge artists including Snoop Dogg, Goo Goo Dolls, Van Halen, and many more.
Frontwoman Emily Depew, Joey's little sister, is no stranger to the stage herself. She has been singing with her mom's band and sister's band for as long as she can remember. Emily brings a commanding, yet welcoming, presence to the stage with her soaring pop voice, relatable banter, and contagious laughter.
Joining these powerhouse siblings on the keys is Mahlea Lusher, who lets her playing do all the talking. Mahlea has been playing piano for 10 years, growing up in a musical household.
Holding down the low end for New Age Noise is AJ Schmall. AJ has fronted several groups with live horn sections for over 5 years, playing on festivals with artists such as Blind Melon, Everclear, and members of the band Chicago. Adding vocal support to the band, AJ is no stranger to performing, engaging with an audience, or trying to distract his bandmates mid-song. If you know AJ, you know he likes to make others laugh, have a good time, all while maintaining a professional attitude in the process.
On the drums, Asher Feeman is the glue to the groove. Asher has been actively gigging for over 4 years in original bands such as First Date Kiss and Suspector. He has played at popular local venues such as 3300 Event Center, CEFCU Stage, and the Make Music Normal Festival. Asher's warm personality, nasty beats, and skills on the Blackstone really round out the group's vibe.
