Our members voted and we’re getting ready to party like it's 1996, because our next season is officially: "Now That's What I Call Cinema: 1996!" August: The Birdcage – A masterclass in comedic timing, featuring Robin Williams and Nathan Lane at their absolute, chaotic best.
September: Romeo + Juliet – Baz Luhrmann's hyper-stylized, neon-soaked, 90s alt-pop fever dream adaptation of the Bard.
October (Double Bill!): The Craft & Scream – The ultimate spooky season duo, serving up iconic witchy 90s fashion and the meta-horror masterpiece that reinvented the slasher genre.
November: Twister – A high-octane, flying-cow-filled disaster flick that remains an absolute blast of pure blockbuster adrenaline.
December: Fargo – A delightfully dark, snowy Coen brothers thriller filled with quirky accents, woodchippers, and Frances McDormand’s brilliant performance.
As always at NSIFC, there is absolutely zero film snobbery and no rigid film degrees required. Just amazing cinema, a relaxed room, and great informal chats with fellow film lovers afterward.
