About this Event
Neurographic Art & Meditation: Drawing From Within
Experience meditation through the intuitive and calming practice of Neurographics (or Neurographica), a meditative art method developed in 2014 by Russian psychologist Pavel Piskarev. Combining elements of psychology, neuroscience, and free-form drawing, Neurographics offers a unique way to explore your inner world through creativity and mindful mark-making.
In this guided workshop, you’ll be introduced to the visual language of Neurographics and explore a series of exercises using free-flowing lines, organic shapes, geometric forms, and color as tools for mindfulness, creative expression, and self-reflection.
Through the meditative rhythm of drawing, you’ll have an opportunity to slow down, quiet the mind, connect with your thoughts and emotions, and translate your inner experience into a meaningful visual composition.
Exercises & Visual Language
We’ll begin with a few gentle warm-up drawing exercises designed to help you relax, let go of expectations, and enter a state of creative flow.
We will then introduce the visual language of Neurographics, exploring the process and the ways in which lines, shapes, colors, and forms can be used to express emotions, ideas, and personal experiences. We’ll consider the psychological significance and symbolism behind these visual elements while allowing each participant to develop their own intuitive relationship with the process.
Final Drawing
During the final 45 minutes, you’ll create your own Neurographic drawing based on a personal theme, intention, question, or area of your life that you’d like to explore.
I’ll guide you step by step through the process while leaving space for your own intuition and creative expression. There is no right or wrong way to approach the drawing—the focus is on the experience of creating, observing, and discovering.
No drawing or artistic experience is needed. Simply come as you are, let go of the need to create something “perfect,” and allow the creative process to unfold.
