About this Event
You walk into a room full of people you don't know. What do you do first? Who do you approach, and what do you say?
We've all been there. The small talk that fizzles out pretty quickly, and that moment when you try to explain what you do and their eyes glaze over. It can all end up feeling like a massive waste of time.
In this workshop with Anna Boon of Tribe Consult, we look at how to make the most of any networking situation, from formal events to chats at the pub. You'll learn to harness nerves, form real connections, and share what you do with relevance and clarity.
You'll leave with a practical toolkit you can put to use straight away.
About the session
This is an interactive, 1 hour workshop. It's a chance to build your networking skills and meet new people at the same time, without the pressure of it being "networking". Coffee, tea and cake are provided, and you're welcome to bring some lunch with you too.
What you'll learn
- How to walk into a room and know where to start
- How to turn small talk into a real conversation
- How to explain what you do so people actually remember it
- How to use nerves to your advantage
