Crunch Fitness Harrisburg is excited to host a NETA Group Exercise Instructor Certification Workshop on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
This certification is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! You do not need to be a Crunch Fitness member or employee to register.
For more than 45 years, NETA has been preparing fitness professionals for successful careers in the industry. The NETA Group Exercise Instructor Certification is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA)and is designed for both new and experienced fitness enthusiasts who are ready to take the next step.
No college degree, science background or prior teaching experience is required.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
👉 Register for the certification workshop.
👉 Prepare before you attend. NETA recommends approximately 30–45 days of self-directed study before attending the workshop and attempting the examination. Recommended study materials are sold separately through NETA.
👉 Attend the full-day Certification Review Workshop. A NETA educator will spend the day reviewing the information and key concepts you’ll need as a Group Exercise Instructor.
👉 Take the certification exam. The written certification exam is administered as part of the full-day workshop.
Successful candidates who meet all certification requirements earn a NETA Group Exercise Instructor Certification valid for two years.
CPR REQUIREMENT
Group Exercise Instructor certificants must hold a current Adult CPR certification from a recognized provider that includes a hands-on practical skills assessment.
Don't have your CPR certification yet? You can still attend the workshop and take the exam. Proof of CPR may be provided after the workshop and examination.
