Nervous System in Play: Co-Regulation for Kink and Rope**
Workshop Description:
Play, whether kink, rope, or intimacy, doesn’t just happen on a physical level. It happens in the body, in the nervous system. It’s relational.
In this class, we’ll explore how states like activation, shutdown, overwhelm, or ease show up in ourselves and our partners, and how they shape the way we connect, communicate, and make decisions in the moment.
This workshop offers a set of simple, adaptable tools to help you:
notice what’s happening in your body in real time
track shifts in your partner more clearly
respond with more choice instead of habit
stay connected during intensity, vulnerability, or uncertainty
We’ll work with a gentle framework of noticing, allowing, and attending, supported by small guided exercises, reflection, and optional sharing.
This is not a therapy space, but it draws from trauma-informed and relational approaches. You’re always invited to engage at your own pace, with respect for your boundaries and capacity.
The class is open to all experience levels and roles.
This workshop will be held at Lakelands Community Hall, but presented on a projector screen where the class can interact with the instructor, who is based in Berlin.
Once the workshop wraps up, our munch will be happening directly after at the Hamilton Station Hotel, so feel free to head over there to hang out and continue talking rope!
About the Presenter:
Tut is a trauma-informed psychotherapist (Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie) based in Berlin, Germany, working with AEDP and EMDR. They are the founder of KOR Berlin, an Embodiment Studio for shibari, tantra, meditation, sound, and more. Tut weaves practices of internal awareness into their rope practice and teaching. They are deeply committed to holding spaces that feel personal, grounded, and meaningful.
