About this Event

NEPTUNE PROJECT: THE RETURN OF THE HARBOUR BOAT PARTY
Open to close. 5 hours. Sydney Harbour at sunset.

Some nights become part of a scene's folklore. For Sydney's serious trance community, the Neptune Project boat parties were exactly that. They ran every year, they had a cult following, and then they stopped when COVID hit.

They're back.

WBW presents Neptune Project, on the water, for the first time in years.

The artist
Neptune Project have been a fixture of the trance world for well over a decade. Their catalogue runs through the labels that defined the sound: Anjunabeats, Future Sound of Egypt, Armada, Vandit and Subculture. They've also remixed Above & Beyond, Paul van Dyk and Aly & Fila. Their own Mythology label is home to their personal productions.

You'll know the tracks. There's their remix of Goldenscan's "Sunrise", their rework of "The Silence", the Thrillseekers remix of "Proteus", and "Lost All My Tears", which made it onto Trance Nation mixed by Aly & Fila.

The set
Neptune Project are best known for the open-to-close deep dive. They play extended sets built as journeys, and they've stretched past six hours for crowds overseas. Their sets are the stuff of legend, and plenty of people have called them the ultimate journey in trance. You'll hear a good chunk of their own catalogue, but the real draw is their taste. Their selection of classic trance is eclectic, a little left of centre, and you simply have to hear it.

The night
This is a proper trance event for true trance aficionados. It's not a festival with a trance stage, and there's no filler. It's five hours of music built for people who came for the music.

And there's no better room for it than the harbour. Sydney at sunset, the city lights coming on, and the sound system and the people on board. This is the setting the NP boat parties were made for.
