If you love the sound of vintage synthesisers, hypnotic electronic beats, dark atmospheric soundscapes and the unmistakable electronic aesthetic of the 80s and 90s, NEON WAVEZ is your night!
Inspired by the sounds and spirit of the electronic underground, NEON WAVEZ brings together three Melbourne live acts exploring different corners of the retro-electronic spectrum, from cinematic synthwave and darkwave to indie electro and synthpop.
Curated by Chris Andrews of Marine Grade, the night is a celebration of everything we love about retro electronic music and culture, combining live performances with an immersive world of light, lasers and moving images.

We're going all out to make NEON WAVEZ more than just another live music night!
Marine Grade will be bringing the entire evening to life with live video projections, lasers, atmospheric lighting and retro-inspired visuals, creating an evolving visual experience to complement each band's performance.
Expect glowing colours, hypnotic imagery, analogue-inspired aesthetics and plenty of retro-futuristic atmosphere.
And the experience doesn't stop between bands. The music throughout the evening will be carefully selected to stay true to the theme, keeping the synthwave, darkwave and retro-electronic vibes flowing from doors until the final note.
Three live acts, immersive visuals, lasers and a night dedicated to the sounds and spirit of the retro-electronic underground.
