Neighbors, Not Strangers - CLIA's 25th Anniversary Gallery of Belonging

For 25 years, CLIA has stood in solidarity with immigrants and refugees in Nebraska. To celebrate this milestone, we invite you to an immersive evening featuring the work of local immigrant and first-generation artists.
Each piece is paired with personal narratives that explore themes of dignity, cultural identity, and the immigrant experience. Legal immigration processes often reduce human stories to paperwork, status codes, deadlines, and legal categories. Forcing immigrants to constantly justify their presence. Art acts as counter weight and restores their voice and humanity, allowing them to represent themselves through their heritage and vision, rather than as a category or number.
Our legal work builds the structural foundation for our immigrant neighbors, but art is what warms their home. Art captures the internal journey, complementing the external legal path we walk with them.
Every dollar raised through this event directly supports CLIA’s critical mission to provide comprehensive, pro bono, and affordable legal immigration services so that our neighbors can be safe, stable, and thrive. Get your tickets below!
