Bannerwood Park, Bellevue.
What it is: A small group of neighbors meets, pairs off, and walks
together for 45 minutes to an hour. No agenda — the walk is the whole thing. Groups are
capped at 10, so it stays a cozy walk with neighbors, not a big event.
How to actually join: Download the free Acquaint Walks app — that's where
you sign up for this time, get matched with someone to walk with, and get the exact meeting
spot. (This page won't check you in — the app does.)
Get the app. Can't make this time? You can also start your
own walk at this park in the app — pick a time and neighbors can join you.
You might be the first one here — that's okay. We're early, so some walks
are small, and once in a while you may be the only one. It's a good walk either way, and every
time someone shows up, the next neighbor's walk gets more likely.
Everyone's a volunteer, not a customer. Nothing to buy. You share walks,
walk with whoever the app pairs you with, and follow a simple code of conduct: be curious,
non-judgemental, and non-transactional.
A note on safety: It's a public park. Come as you are, use your own
judgement, and bring a buddy if you'd like.
