NECROMUNDA CAMPAIGN
The Navis Mortis & Gothrul’s Needle
Thousands of years before the birth of the current Lord Helmawr, there was a schism within the Imperial House. In 459.M37, Lord Hyrodo Helmawr died suddenly while on a hunting expedition without naming an heir.* His two eldest children, Lady Cinderak and Lord Gothrul both shared a claim to the mantle of planetary governor and they fought each other bitterly for over a century for the right to rule. Eventually, Cinderak triumphed and imprisoned Gothrul within his hive, the Needle, which had been one of Necromunda’s first spaceports. To cement her control of Necromunda she constructed the Eye of Selene – part space station, part trading hub – and declared all inbound off-world goods and all outbound planetary production would now pass solely through Hive Primus.
In the centuries that followed, hundreds of ship captains thought to brave this blockade and land at the Needle. Cinderak proved the worth of her words and, as the years ground by, the wastes around the Needle grew thick with vessels shot down by the Eye of Selene and the Necromundan system fleet. To the nomads, it was known as the Time of Raining Iron, for not a cycle passed without a flaming wreck falling from the sky, and the growing field of wreckage soon became known as the Navis Mortis. Despite being a rich picking ground, Cinderak declared the region off-limits – she refused to let anyone profit from cargoes carried by the dead captains, and soon the borders of the crash zone were heavily patrolled by the armoured ash runners of the Palanite Enforcers. Of course, where there is loot, there will be looters.
 Each player will start with 1000 credits to build their gang.
 An additional 150 credits may be used for the purchase of mounts and vehicles.
 The campaign will use 2 territory maps. One will be the Navis Mortis territory and the other will be the Underhive of the Needle.
 Mounts and vehicles may be used for battles that take place in the Navis Mortis BUT NOT the Needle
 Each player will be assigned a starting territory and one additional territory.
 The campaign is broken down into 3 Phases.
 Occupation Phase (3 cycles) During this phase each player will issue challenges to other players to fight over control of a territory. Each player must issue a challenge to a different player in each cycle unless no other player is available.
The winner of a battle adds 2D3x10 credits to their Stash and increases their Reputation by 1.
The Loser of a battle adds D3x10 credits to their Stash.
If the battle was a draw, both gangs add D3x10 credits to their Stash.
If a gang completes its Side Job, they add D3x10
Only unclaimed territories may be claimed as rewards for gang battles.
 Downtime Phase (1 cycle) After the last battle of the Occupation phase, players get the chance to add some fresh models to their gangs, recover and re-equip others.
 All gangs gain 250 credits to spend on new equipment from their Gang Equipment List or the Trading Post and/or recruit new models during this cycle’s Post-cycle sequence. These credits must be spent now and cannot be added to the gangs Stash. Gangs may supplement these credits with extra credits from their Stash.
 Takeover Phase (3 cycles) The second part of the campaign sees gangs defend their Territories against their rival gangs. During this phase the following rules apply.
The winner of a battle adds 2D6x10 credits to their Stash and increases their reputation by 2.
The loser of a battle adds D6x10 credits to their Stash.
If the battle was a draw, both gangs add D6x10 credits to their Stash.
If a gang loses control of a territory, they reduce their Reputation by 1.
Only claimed territories may be claimed as rewards.
 The Final Battle (1 cycle) In this phase each gang will fight one last battle. These battles are paired by a gang’s Reputation first to last in descending order. Ties are broken by Stash credits and if needed battles won. In this final phase all battles will take place in the Ash Wastes of the Novis Mortis.

Using the Trading Post-These rules replace the Trading post rules on page 92 of the rule book.
The trading posts of the Hives and Ash Wastes are essential for gangs to survive. Most common items that a gang may need can be purchased at any trading post. But rare and arcane items are harder to obtain. In the Post-cycle Sequence any fighter may visit the trading post. Any item with a TP of 0 may be purchased by any fighter. These are the most common items. If a fighter is searching for a rare item the following rules apply.
Roll a D6 for each item with a TP of 1 or higher. If the roll is successful the trading post has the item available and it may be purchased. If the roll is failed the item is not available. A fighter may only roll once during each Post cycle Sequence and the same item may not be rolled for more than once in the Post-cycle sequence.
TP E roll of 6+
TP 4 roll of 5+
TP 3 roll of 4+
TP 2 roll of 3+
TP 1 roll of 2+
Each time a Leader or a Champion visits a trading post during the Post-cycle sequence they add Trade Points to the gang. 2 for a Leader and 1 for a Champion. A player may use any number of Trade points that are available to a gang to lower a roll by the number of Trade points used. (Example: An item with a TP of 4 would need a 5+ to find. The player uses 2 Trade Points to lower the roll needed to 3+)
