Cumberland Council has confirmed the 1200+ Member Petition calling for greater action with respect to the National Grid Cross Border Connection. Following the incredible turn out for the most recent direct action event, it would be great to see similar numbers attend.
Following the same format with a quite assembly at 12 noon in advance of the debate at 13:00. Public access to the Full Council meeting and petition debate will be permitted. Speakers on behalf of North Cumbria will also be able to speak directly to elected members and senior officials through short statements.
Please do try and attend to demonstrate the concerns of North Cumbria communities.
