Event name:Navigating Spiritual Warfare in a Secular World
Date & time:
Friday, November 6, 2026
7:00 PM social | 7:30 PM talk
Location:
Lyceum Auditorium at the Basilica of Saint Mary
313 Duke Street, Alexandria, VA 22314
Description:
The enemy’s tactics aren’t always dramatic. Sometimes it’s the constant noise, distractions, and busy schedules that quietly pull us away from peace and union with God.
Young adults are invited to join Sister M. Gabriela, SCMC, for an honest conversation about spiritual warfare in everyday life—from recognizing subtle spiritual traps to understanding the dangers of New Age practices—and keeping our gaze fixed on Jesus through Mary.
Come for the talk, then stay for refreshments, Q&A, and conversation with the Sisters of Charity of Our Lady, Mother of the Church. We’ll conclude with an invitation to quiet prayer in the church before Nocturnal Adoration begins at 9:00 PM.
Bring a friend who could use an evening to pause and refocus on Christ!
