About this Event
Navigating Screen Battles with Conscious Communication
Screen-time fights don't have to end in slammed doors and shouting matches. In this hands-on, 2-hour workshop, you'll learn why kids fight so hard for their devices, how to set limits without rupturing connection, and practical, nervous-system-informed scripts you can use that same night.
Drawing on her training in Conscious Parenting with Dr. Shefali and Somatic Alignment, and her work alongside Dr. Gabor Maté, Arleen, pharmacist-turned-coach and co-author of the bestselling anthology, The Perfectly Imperfect Family, brings a trauma-informed, connection-first approach to one of the most common parenting battlegrounds.
Discover how to move from reactive “because I said so” parenting to grounded leadership that builds trust and resilience. At this intimate In-Person workshop, participants will be able to:
- Understand the nervous system dynamics behind conflicts and power struggles.
- Apply the 4 components of Non-Violent Communication
- Set clear, developmentally appropriate screen boundaries without punishment or shame.
- Shift from control-based limits to connection-based leadership.
