A one-day, in-person retreat in Toronto with Andy Vasily and Neila Steele of Inner Compass Institute — Sunday, December 13, 2026The retreat:
We all carry many roles at once: partner, parent, child, sibling, friend, colleague, leader. Each relationship asks something different of us, and who we are in any given moment can shift depending on who is in front of us.
This one-day retreat is a chance to step back and look at those relationships with care and clarity. We will explore how to show up as our best selves, both in the work we do and with the people we love most.
Functioning at our best is not something we do by chance or luck. It takes a specific set of skills and a daily practice of proactive strategies. Over the course of the day, you will build both.
Everything we share is practical, actionable, and grounded in current research from psychology, neuroscience, and neurobiology. You will leave with tools you can apply immediately in your lives.
What we'll explore:
The day moves between two sides of life that are always connected: the work we do and the people we come home to.
The professional side:
-Getting precise and intentional about professional goals, rooted in what matters to you
-Understanding how trust is built, broken, and repaired in working relationships
-Aligning your head (clarity), heart (values and emotion), and hands (daily action) so your effort has greater impact
-Leading from wherever you are, whatever your title
The personal side:
-Showing up more fully for a spouse, child, sibling, or parent
-Noticing the patterns and reactions we bring into our closest relationships, and where they come from
-Regulating our nervous system when relationships feel stretched or strained
-Simple mindfulness and reflection practices that fit into real, busy lives
-Bringing it together
-A personal plan of proactive, daily strategies to help you navigate your relationships with more calm, intention, and connection
Who this day is for:
This retreat is for anyone who wants to explore these themes, whatever your job or stage of life. Professionals, parents, caregivers, leaders, educators, and people in transition are all welcome. No background knowledge is needed, only curiosity and a willingness to reflect.
You will leave with:
-Clearer, more intentional professional goals
-A deeper understanding of how you show up in your most important relationships
-Practical, research-informed tools for staying grounded under pressure
-A simple daily practice you can start right away
