Join Nikita Charlton and Kelly Wallace for an interactive Australian Native Food Expo focused on tasting, learning and exploring the diversity of Australian native ingredients.Australia is home to thousands of edible native plants, offering an incredible range of flavours, aromas, textures and possibilities. There is much more to discover than commonly known ingredients such as saltbush.
During this experience, participants will taste a selection of native-inspired foods and drinks, learn about the ingredients used and explore how different flavours can be paired and blended. Nikita and Kelly enjoy experimenting with native foods in their own kitchens and look forward to sharing their experiences, discoveries and enthusiasm with others.
The Australian Native food Expo is a food tasting and exploration experience designed to encourage curiosity, conversation and creativity. Participants will discover how Australian native ingredients can bring new flavours and possibilities into everyday cooking and inspire them to experiment in their own kitchens.
The event also promotes connection to Country, sharing, community and sustainability. We believe that when we care for Country, Country cares for us. By increasing awareness of Australian native foods and supporting more sustainable food choices, we can better appreciate what Australia has to offer and recognise that sustainability is everyone’s business.
Participants will also receive a small selection of native ingredients to take home so they can continue exploring and experimenting with the flavours for themselves.
