About this Event
On Sunday, November 15, the Miami Beach Botanical Garden transforms into an open landscape of participatory installations—a living laboratory of the senses.
Move freely through interactive stations across the garden: weave, touch, smell, listen, and contribute to an evolving collective creation.
The Experience
Participatory Installations: Engage with natural fibers, botanical scents, tactile native elements, and acoustic soundscapes.
Collective Making: Contribute your individual gestures of writing, weaving, and reflection into shared works that evolve in real time.
Guest Artists: Featuring creative collaborations with guest artists Anna Biondo and Sarah Laing.
The Vision
Created by neuroscientist and artist Karina Del Punta, Ph.D., Nature. In Community draws from insights in environmental neuroscience and relational ecology. The work explores what it means to meet the natural world in active reciprocity—rediscovering ourselves not just as visitors or consumers, but as vital participants woven into the fabric of the living landscape.
Through the intentional orchestration of materials, colors, sounds, and scents, the experience invites a state of soft fascination—a restorative mode of attention that calms the nervous system while heightening relational and creative presence. Each individual reflection shared throughout the afternoon weaves into a tangible representation of community and ecological interdependence.
Discover what takes shape when we create together.
