About this Event
Increase your backyard habitat and enhance ecosystem stewardship through native seed collection! In this introductory seminar, learn how to responsibly collect, sow, and germinate seeds from a variety of local plant species, from meadow herbs to trees. When we learn how to grow plants, there is limitless potential for us to make positive impacts to the ecology around us.
This program would be interesting to those getting into native plant gardening or land stewardship. A portion of the program is indoors for an interactive presentation, and a portion is a walk outside. Participants will get to sow some collected seeds in containers to bring home.

- Open to ages 6 and up
- This is a gentle walk at an easy pace with frequent stops
- Indoor/Outdoor program; please dress accordingly. Shoes are required
- Pack water!
- No dogs please.
- Parking is available in the outer lot on Snake Den Rd, or follow the driveway and park near the main brick building
