About this Event
An Unlikely Story is thrilled to present the Native American Heritage Panel featuring authors Jennifer Givhan (The Sleeping Sisters), David Heska Wabli Weiden (Wisdom Corner), and Vanessa Lillie (The Bone Thief)!
Authors will discuss craft, inspiration, and what it means to be an Indigenous writer today. Following their discussion, the authors will answer audience questions and sign books.
Southwest and International Latino Book Award-winning author Jennifer Givhan is the author of The Sleeping Sisters. A threatened mother and a relentless detective collide when a series of murders awaken something long buried in the New Mexican desert in this mesmerizing novel of literary horror, perfect for fans of Carmen Maria Machado and Stephen Graham Jones.
Award-winning author David Heska Wabli Weiden is the author of Wisdom Corner, a new thriller about life—and death—on the Rosebud Indian Reservation.
Bestselling author Vanessa Lillie's The Bone Thief takes place when a Native teenager vanishes from her small town—a place with dark ties to an elite historical society—and archeologist Syd Walker is called to investigate.
Tickets for this event are $5. The cost of the ticket may be redeemed for $5 off any of Jennifer, David, or Vanessa's books on the night of the event. We hope to see you there!
