Match Racing Umpires provide instant justice on the water, making decisions on rule disputes during match racing events.This course is aimed at experienced Club Umpires looking to take the next step along the Yachting New Zealand umpire pathway. Building on existing knowledge and practical experience, the course focuses on developing the skills and judgement required to officiate at a national level.
Topics include advanced rule interpretation, use of the Match Racing Call Book, practical decision-making, umpire positioning, communication, and on-water performance. Participants will also complete the National Umpire written examination, a key requirement for National Umpire accreditation.
