Kenya Tong-IL Moo-Do Federation Announces NATIONAL TONG-IL MOO-DO JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP in Kitale: A Gateway to the 13th Mombasa Open.NAIROBI, KENYA The Kenya Tong-IL Moo-Do Federation (KTMF) is proud to announce the upcoming National Tong-IL Moo-Do Junior Championship, scheduled to take place at the Lamplighter Academy in Kitale, on the 4th & 5th of July 2026.
This premier youth tournament will bring together young martial artists from across the nation, spanning primary school, junior secondary school, and senior school levels. The championship is designed to foster discipline, physical fitness, and competitive excellence among Kenya's youth, providing a structured platform for the next generation of martial arts talent to shine.
Young practitioners holding all categories of colored belts will go head-to-head in three highly competitive disciplines:
• Sparring: Testing agility, strategy, and controlled execution.
• Forms: Demonstrating precision, focus, and technical mastery.
• Special Techniques: Showcasing exceptional athleticism, flexibility, power and weapons application.
To honor the dedication of these young athletes, top performers will be awarded medals, trophies, and official certificates of merit.
Crucially, the stakes are exceptionally high for this junior tournament. Exceptional winners will earn a prestigious direct qualification to represent their regions at the globally acclaimed 13th Mombasa Open Tong-IL Moo-Do International Martial Arts Championship, set to take place in December 2026 in Mombasa.
