Join us in Historical Downtown New Port Richey for a FREE Event celebrating the rich history of silent film, for the National Silent Movie Day 2026.Starting at 11am, the theatre will be showing a rolling set of 5 Silent Film shorts:
~ 1903's "Great Train Robbery", the first film Western.
~ 1914's gender bending comedy "The Danger Girl" starring Gloria Swanson.
~ 1916's romantic comedy "I Do" starring real life couple Harold Lloyd and Mildred Davis.
~ 1921's stunt laden comedy "Sherlock Jr" directed by and starring Buster Keaton.
and then the Feature Finale, 1926's "The New Klondike", starring Thomas Meighan, the movie star who proudly called New Port Richey home and for whom this theatre was originally named after.
The whole sequence will start again at 2.30pm and run till 6pm and is completely free to enter. We will have our Concessions Bar open, serving drinks and snacks including fresh Popcorn!
