About this Event
We will meet at 9:00 AM at the CVS in Ashland and make our way into the Monument from there. Carpooling is optional.
Join us for a National Public Lands Day of service at one of the Monument's most storied spots: the Buck Rock tunnel trail system. This year, volunteers will help improve navigational signage along the trail, making it easier for visitors to explore the tunnel, its history, and the surrounding landscape.
No prior experience needed. Just bring your enthusiasm, a willingness to get your hands a little dirty, and a love for public lands. The BLM will provide tools, safety equipment, and guidance. Please wear closed-toed shoes and long pants, and bring water and snacks or lunch (some snacks and drinks will be provided).
Details on the day's activities will be shared with registered volunteers. We can't wait to work alongside you, and to make a lasting difference at one of the Monument's most memorable landmarks.
Friends of the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument is a nonprofit organization and our mission is to support the protection, restoration and conservation of the monument through service, advocacy and education.
