National Public Lands Day (NPLD) is the largest single-day volunteer event to improve and enhance America’s public lands. On NPLD, we’ll join in “Caring for Our Shared America” to ensure the longevity of our cherished places while fostering environmental stewardship among youth and their communities.• Help improve the park by weeding, pruning, removing nuisance plants, planting native plants, mulching and removing litter.
• Bring loppers or hand pruners, a shovel, gloves, a hat, sunglasses, water,bug spray and sunscreen.
• Wear closed-toe, closed-heel shoes, such as hiking boots or sneakers.
• Water and snacks will be provided. Please bring a refillable water bottle.
• Children’s activities for Take a Child Outside Week (11:30 am to 12:30 p.m.).
• Participate in a free Agents of Discovery mission.
