Celebrate the National Day of Poetry 2026 with an evening of words, creativity and community at Woking Library. Whether you're a lifelong poetry lover, an occasional reader, or an aspiring poet ready to share your work, this special Open Mic Poetry Night is for you.
We'll kick off the evening with performances from Woking Library's very own, talented Poetry Hub, sharing everything from thought-provoking verses to poems that will make you laugh.
Then the mic is yours.
Share an original poem, perform a favourite piece you've written, or simply relax and enjoy an evening filled with creativity, imagination and local talent. Whether you're a seasoned performer or stepping up to the microphone for the very first time, you'll find a warm welcome and an encouraging audience.

Key information about booking:
- The event starts at 6:30pm
- This event is suitable for adults
- Please purchase a ticket for each person attending
- Tickets are available with a donation* (Minimum recommendation is £2 per person attending).
- Booking is essential, so be quick to avoid disappointment
- Please arrive 10 minutes early
