A calculable pistonphone for the absolute calibration of hydrophones in the frequency range from 0.5 Hz to 250 H
The demand for traceablze hydrophone calibrations at low frequencies in support of ocean monitoring applications requires primary standard methods that are able to realise the acoustic pascal. We will describe the use of a first of a kind calculable pistonphone for the primary calibration of hydrophones at low frequencies.
Helen Margolis
The CIPM list ‘recommended values of standard frequencies’: 2021 update
This talk will trace a twenty-year journey in international metrology, transforming how standard reference frequencies are derived from global clock comparison data. These advances play an essential role in preparations for a future redefinition of the second based on one or more optical transition frequencies.
