National Entrepreneurs Day: An EPIC Learning Today Community Celebration
Columbus small businesses are growing, and we’re throwing a party to prove it!
Join EPIC Learning Today for our first National Entrepreneurs Day community celebration. It’s an afternoon to honor the business owners, partners and community members who are building Central Ohio's small business economy, one sale at a time.
Celebrating our Velocity Accelerator community
Since launching in 2025, the SYSG Velocity Accelerator has trained and coached nearly 100 business owners in professional services, health and beauty, real estate, media, events and social innovation. This year we welcomed new cohorts in the spring and fall, and our graduates have the wins to show for it:
- A teen-focused media company landed its first paid sponsor, a major regional credit union.
- A cleaning company went from occasional jobs to a subcontract partnership servicing a full building.
- Several founders met capital partners and investors at Black Tech Week through our Startup House and HustleBus delegation.
- Business owners have put pricing strategies, sales processes and proposal templates to work to win new customers and contracts.
We’ll recognize current Velocity Accelerator participants, celebrate our graduates, and share a few stories behind their growth.

None of this happens alone. Through Accelerate Columbus, the City of Columbus Department of Development invests in programs that give main street businesses the training, coaching and business-development support they need to grow and scale. That investment makes it possible for SYSG to offer scholarships, pricing strategy labs, contract-readiness support, and a direct line to RFP and contract opportunities for our graduates.
We will celebrate the ecosystem partners who show up for Columbus entrepreneurs, including Columbus Metropolitan Library, Zora’s House, Aventi Enterprises, Book + Street and Heartland Bank.
EPIC Learning Today will also announce it's new membership program.
