National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day | Community HIV Testing & Awareness

In recognition of National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, observed annually on February 7, The Hearth Home invites community members to join us on Friday, February 5, 2027, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for a day focused on HIV awareness, prevention, and testing.

National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day highlights the disproportionate impact of HIV on Black communities and the importance of improving access to testing, prevention, and care. In 2023, Black Americans accounted for 38% of new HIV diagnoses nationwide, despite representing approximately 12% of the U.S. population.

At The Hearth Home, we remain committed to reducing barriers to HIV prevention services and ensuring that individuals have access to the information and resources needed to make informed decisions about their health.

We encourage community members to stop by for free, confidential HIV testing, learn more about PrEP and other HIV prevention options, and connect with our team for additional resources and support.

Whether you are testing for the first time or staying up to date with your routine HIV screening, we welcome you to take this important step in maintaining your health.
